The last of the fall colors hang on as Thunder Bay bound grain loads cruise eastbound on the Kashabowie Sub passing Mud Lake.

Just before sunset, CN 5613 leads a loaded rail train westward on the Kashabowie Subdivision through the thick Northern Ontario boreal forest.

This spot is known to some of us railfans as the "Everest" shot because it is usually so impossible to get with night runs and timing when shooting in other locations. With fall colors in the back... (more)
